Don’t you wish your sponsor would gloss over all the touchy-feely training and just teach you the meat!?!?
I felt the same way!
My mentor asked time and time again for my goals when I began my MLM biz. I was told to keep a journal about my goals (lame!), visualize my dream lifestyle (waste of time!), dig deep to understand what motivates me (dig what?!), and “find my WHY“. My mentors said to find a WHY that made me cry.
I was looking for a business, not Kleenex.
After almost two years of thinking my sponsor was silly, I got hit over the head with an “A-ha!” about what finding my WHY would do for my business. I pushed aside my pride, got intimate with a piece of poster board, and changed my focus. Check it out…
I now retract everything I said about my sponsor being lame, or that I was being instructed to waste my time. I do not think that WHYs that make you cry are ridiculous. They are simply the most important thing you will have to leverage you and your team in this business.
So get over yourself, grab a few magazines and a glue stick, and go to town!
Please comment about your dream board or your WHYs… and if you send yours to Melissa at AchieveLots dot com I’ll show you some love!

Melissa,
You are so energetic and cheerful, it is fun to watch you. i created a vision board at a party in December, organized by another person who is involved with Chaga, an amazing healing extract I have been taking and sharing. I have the vision board sitting in my bedroom and I do look at it every day. It feels so good and so real and so right for me – not silly. As a matter of fact, when I heard we were going to create vision boards I was so excited because I KNOW the value of it. I have been serting goals for years but without taking the time to visualize it and feel it emotionally, the goals will probably not manifest. So I love my vision board.

you are ahead of the curve dr erica! i agree… feeling the excitement around your goals is a big part of it, and the dreamboard helps bring up those emotions!

You are so good! I love the picture too, so cute!
Oh yes, the dream board! So important, I have mine all over my office and even all over my house! It really does work! Looks crazy to everyone else, then when it all starts to come true, everyone starts doing it too!
Thanks for sharing!

Melissa,
I love the way you brought this idea to us. So much more real than trying to express this in a written post.
You have reminded me that I need to update my dream board. This way of visualizing is a way to let your subconscious know what you want to be. It works!
Thanks,
Val

Yeah, it totally works! I definitely wanted to show it over video rather than write about it. After all, a pic is worth a thousand words …and thousands of dollars!

Super super job Melissa. Dream boards are so very important. You’ve moved me to dust off mine and get it back up. Of being the old “Dirty Man” I got suck in with your Post Tittle. Again super super video. And just an added note. I was one of the early members of your Product companies back in the Seventies when it was in the launch phase. Back then they also had an “Dehydrated Food” line

Dehydrated food, really? That was before my time… but what a great fun-fact, I had no idea!
I showed you mine, now show me yours Nelson!

Great post. Very inspiring. I posted my first video today on FB, but luckily the tags did not work. I have to really figure out how to get pumped up before I record videos. I have clips and pictures all over and even have one as my desk top screen saver. Thanks for sharing this and for your enthusiasm.
10. June 2010 at 7:28 am
I saw your first vid on FB–you did great! You don’t have to get ‘pumped up’ because your personality is so different than that. You were great, real, and yourself. Awesome job =)

Melissa,
We loved your post (your title is a great hook!) and video. We also know the significance of having a dream board and first started ours after watching The Secret like you. We bought a large foam board recently to do a fantastic new one and your post will help us take the time to just get it done.
We’re glad you are enjoying the huge benefits of practicing this essential key to your success in network marketing!
Thanks so much for sharing your enthusiasm and conviction in the dream board. Your video showing your energy made the post very powerful.

Thanks D&D. I think my next dreamboard will also be an upgrade. Next step: foam board. For sure.
Catch you in TSA…

Ha Ha Melissa
My hand is raised, I have to say I’ve never made a dream board because…I-don’t-know-why other than I haven’t taken the time. However, because you are “kicking Network Marketers in the pants” this weekend it’s done and you will be getting my poster board e-mailed to you!
Thanks for the kick I’ve always wanted to make one…no more excuses it’s a done deal!

Thanks Kimberly! I really believe in the simplicity of this task. It’s so powerful to be able to change what I look at and immediately change my state. I even have a small one I carry in my wallet. “See” you soon!
10. June 2010 at 5:02 am
You’re on! I don’t have a dream board!!! And I KNOW about this. You helped clear a block because I thought I could only create one, didn’t occur to me I could make a new one as “whys” change. Did you set a date?
10. June 2010 at 7:42 am
yay for you, I hope to see it!
yes, we got married in September!
17. June 2010 at 7:25 am
No I had not seen this!
My dream boasrd is famous!! Thank you for the challenge! I look at it everyday. I make mini ones and put them in a notbook as a visual diary , my why is a simple life, with beauty, teaching, having all that I need and more, which gives me the opportunity to give to others… Thanks Melissa!
